Jonathan 'Ginger' signs to Mapex

The Mapex team are delighted to announce the signing of groove master Jonathan 'Ginger' Hamilton. Jonathan is currently in the hot seat with one of the UK's most exciting new pop acts VV Brown, an artist who combines retro soul, melodic pop and punk energy which culminates in a truly original show that is already impressing the nation with performances on Jools Holland, countless radio sessions and a full diary of the top summer festivals.

Jonathan has built a name for himself in the Gospel industry holding down the rhythm for top artists from the age of 14. This allowed him to work with artists such as, G-Force (MOBO winners), Jahaziel (MOBO nominee), Lisa McClendon (USA), Ron Kenoly (USA) and recorded with ABC, Ryan Carty and Clinton Jordon.

Jonathan has chosen a custom Saturn series set, finished in Crystal Krush with all black chrome fittings in , 22 x 20, 8x7, 10x8, 12x8, 15x13, 18 x 16 sizes, along with a Black Panther 13 x 7 snare. For his festival dates this summer, Jonathan will be using one of the fantastic new Meridian Birch series kits in Indigo Sparkle. Keep an eye out for one of the most exciting new talents in UK drumming. Glastonbury, Lovebox, Secret Garden, T in the Park, V and Bestival will all be playing host to Ginger's hi energy grooving this summer!
